Platte Valley Medical Group (PVMG) added Dr. Michael Bibler, Cardiothoracic Surgeon, to the Platte Valley Cardiology Program in Kearney, Nebraska in September 2017.
Prior to him joining PVMG, Dr. Bibler had been practicing in Kearney, Nebraska for 12 years. Dr. Bibler earned his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, now called A.T. Still University, in Kirksville, Mo. He completed an internship at Flint Osteopathic Hospital in Flint, Mich., and a general surgery fellowship at Genesys Regional Medical Center, an affiliate of Michigan State University, in Grand Blanc, Mich. Dr. Bibler completed a fellowship in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Brown Mills, New Jersey. He is board certified in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery and general surgery.

The addition of Dr. Bibler bolstered the already strong and successful Cardiology program within Platte Valley Medical Group. Spearheaded by Dr. Sean Denney, Interventional Cardiologist, Platte Valley Cardiology consists of 6 medical providers that are tirelessly helping better the people of Kearney and central, southern and western Nebraska. Providers within Platte Valley Cardiology include Interventional Cardiologists Dr. Sean Denney, Dr. Iyad Azzam and Dr. Tom Pagano; and Cardiovascular Disease specialist Dr. Thomas Lanspa.
Platte Valley Cardiology has a massive footprint in the Kearney community. Cumulatively, this team of doctors does community outreach to 21 surrounding communities in central and western Nebraska as well as northern Kansas. With the primary focus of patient-minded care, these physicians travel to rural clinics and hospitals to bring the Platte Valley care to their neighborhoods.
